Netaji- The Real Warrior!

                          Subash Chandra Bose
In the early part of 17th century; British came to India as traders. By looking at our enormous wealth they decided to rule our country and loot the wealth to their country.
Many people sacrificed their lives for the sake of our country. But the "White People" were too strong for us! At that time A Lion rose up. This lion roared till the end of its life.
Probably you came to know that about whom I am talking..
Subash was born in Cuttack, Orissa on January 23, 1897 to Janakinath Bose and Prabhavati. His father was a famous lawyer.
At the age of 5 he was admitted to the Protestant European School at Cuttack.
Accordingly when a Small Pox Epidemic Hit A village, Subhas formed a volunteer corps with his friends to nurse the poor. At the age of 15 Subhas began Reading the works of Swami Vivekananda. He even practised Yoga.
Same as "Narendra" Subhas went in search of a guru. Meanwhile he had passed the Matriculation examination by securing the second rank in the university!!! He went to Calcutta where he secured admission to the Presidency College. The rude behavior of the British teachers there was humiliating to the Indian Students. Subash took the lead and called for a strike. This was the first strike in Modern India!! It went on for 3 days. Atlast the teachers appologised the students. As a result Subash was rusticated from the college. He returned to Cuttack and continued his social service. Subash soon became a popular figure! Later he joined the Scottish Church College. Subash graduated from  Calcutta University at the age of 22 and went to England to appear for the Indian Civil Service Examination. In those days passing this exam itself was a Herculean job!!! But Subash secured the Fourth rank in the exam!! But Subash rejected the prestigious post of British government!! When he was asked the reason he thundered-"I appeared for my ICS Examination to educate myself not to become A part of the Bureaucratic Machine of the British Empire!!" Indeed this was a stunning reply by Subash. This shows his love towards his motherland! Then he decided to dedicate his life for his country to free it from British. He returned to India and met Gandhiji. But he differed his ideas from Gandhiji and did not like the principle of "Non- Violence". He met Deshbandu Chitranjan Das and joined "Swaraj Party".  Later he was appointed as the CEO of Calcutta Corporation. Subash was arrested for a false pretext. After his release he joined the Indian National Congress. But there were lot of differences between Subash and Gandhiji. Upset by this Subash resigned and formed his own party called 'Forward Block'. Again he was house arrested for his revolutionary activities. On the midnight of January 7, 1941 he escaped from  there and reached Kabul. There he sought help from Afghanistan. He then went to Germany and sought ''Hitler's" help. He also sought Mussolini's help. He went to Japan and met Ras Behari Bose and formed "Indian National Army". He also formed the Jhansi regiment to nurse the Soldiers. He was popularly called as "Netaji". He was the first to give a call "Jai Hind"! He said "Give me Blood, I promise you Freedom!" On March 14th a fierce war took place between INA and British army. Unfortunately INA lost this war. But Subash did not loose heart. He decided to seek additional help from other countries. On August 17th 1945 Subash boarded a Japanese plane for some unknown destination with Col. Habibur Rahman. What Became of Netaji on that Fateful Trip is a Mystery! Even today no one knows the mystery of Netaji's death!
But he will be in our hearts forever!!
Lets pay a great salute to this hero who has sacrificed his life for his country!
